The sorrow surrounding the tragic events at Perry High School in Perry, Iowa is beyond words. We hope that, finally, our nation’s leaders will take decisive action to put an end to the senseless gun deaths that strike the nation every day.
Children’s Health Fund strongly urges our nation’s leaders to act now, including through the enactment of sensible gun laws and the expansion of mental health services to children, families, and community members. With five mass shootings in the first five days of 2024, our leaders must realize that enough is enough. Gun violence must end now.
