What We Do
National Network
Spotlight on Mental Health
Mental health is an important component of a child’s overall health. Our network’s mental health clinicians help their patients address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and substance abuse. Our partners are also able to screen for and address trauma through the use of Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) and Positive Childhood Experience (PCE) screening tools. Several of our programs have clinical pharmacists who work closely with the primary care team to assist with medication management.
Our partners make mental healthcare accessible by bringing care directly to communities through school-based clinics and targeted mobile health outreach. Some programs also provide mental health services through telehealth, proven to be effective in reaching adolescent populations. CHF supports innovative and accessible approaches to pediatric mental health, including meditation and mindfulness programming.
